Corona Virus Attack in China

In many instances, expired products are now being dumped on the African market in an attempt to restore the supply chain from Asia. As a direct result, patient health is being compromised by some substandard products from Asian origin.

The COVID-2019 virus is now considered to be viable from non-biological surfaces for as long as 9 days. This poses a direct risk to any person handling IVDs from Asian origin, where the COVID-2019 infection is most sever. It is doubtful whether any meaningful measures are being taken by manufacturers to disinfect these IVDs before exporting it.

Lifeassay Diagnostics is a Cape Town based manufacturer of in vitro diagnostic tests. We do not use components from Asia to manufacture our IVDs. All our products are made from the highest quality raw materials produced in South Africa, and from leading internationally recognised suppliers in the USA and Germany.

We also wish to bring to your attention that Lifeassay maintains large quantities of buffer stock of all its products. The supply of IVDs to our main customers – in particular those in African countries – remains uninterrupted.

Lifeassay aims to ship out within 3 days from receipt and confirmation of orders. We maintain a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that is ISO13485:2016 certified by Lloyds.
